๐ท Crochet a Mini Tulip – A Sweet Spring Decoration
Spring and flowers just belong together — and what better way to bring a little bloom into your home than with a crochet tulip that never wilts? ๐ท
This mini tulip is super quick, beginner-friendly, and makes a lovely touch for gifts, table decor, or even bouquets. You can whip up a bunch in different colors and have a little flower garden on your desk or windowsill!
๐งถ What You’ll Need:
Yarn: Worsted weight yarn in:
Flower color (any pastel or bright)
Green (for stem & leaf)
Hook: 3.5 mm or 4 mm
Stuffing: Just a tiny bit
Yarn needle & scissors
Optional: Hot glue and wooden stick (if you want to turn it into a bouquet)
✨ Stitches Used (US Terms):
MR – Magic Ring
SC – Single Crochet
INC – Increase (2 SC in one stitch)
DEC – Decrease (SC two together)
CH – Chain
SL ST – Slip Stitch
๐ธ Pattern: Mini Crochet Tulip
๐ท Flower Head (Make 1 – in any flower color):
MR, 6 SC into ring (6)
INC around (12)
(SC, INC) x6 (18)
4–6. SC around (18)(SC, DEC) x6 (12)
(SC, DEC) x4 (8)
Stuff lightly. Fasten off and leave a tail.
Optional: shape the top edge into soft tulip petals by slip stitching around or leaving slightly uneven edges — totally up to you!
๐ฑ Stem (in green):
CH 18
Starting in 2nd CH from hook, SL ST in each CH down (17 SL ST)
Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.
๐ Leaf (in green):
CH 7
SC in 2nd CH from hook, HDC in next, DC in next 2, HDC, SC
Fasten off and weave in tail.
๐งบ Assembly:
Sew or glue the flower head to the top of the stem.
Stitch or glue the leaf onto the stem about halfway down.
Optional: glue the stem to a wooden stick (or use floral wire) to make it stand.
Make a bunch and tie them with ribbon, place them in a tiny vase, or use them to decorate a gift!
